James Ibori sentenced to 13 years in prison
The former governor of Delta State was sentenced to 13 years in prison at the Southwark Crown court this afternoon for laundering state funds. How many years do you think he will do? Fashanu's testimony helped his case a bit. The former international football star gave a glowing testimony in support of his friend and the judge admitted it as 'new evidence' and adjourned for almost two hours saying he had to re-write his already written sentence. After sentencing him to 13 years, the judge said Ibori's assets would be confiscated.
13 years in a UK jail should earn James Ibori an indefinite stay, he can then apply for citizenship of the UK" lol
