Adeboye urges Nigerians to be optimistic

GENERAL Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, yesterday, urged Nigerians to be optimistic about the nation, stressing that Nigerians ought to grateful to God for the abundant resources He had deposited in the land.
Pastor Adeboye made the call during a special prayer for various professionals at the church’s national headquarters in Ebute-Meta, Lagos.
Narrating his experience in some African countries he visited recently, the RCCG general overseer described as sad how some Nigerians speak negative things about their country thinking that the land is greener in other climes.
Adeboye said,  Nigerians ought to be grateful to God for all He has blessed the nation with, adding that some African countries will daily express gratitude if they have 10 per cent of the natural endowments Nigeria has.
He said: “Nigerians always talk about hardship in the nation and often think of travelling abroad. When you travel to some countries and see what they are experiencing there, I think Nigerians will appreciate the Lord better. I went to Cameroun, Gabon and some other countries; if all these countries get 10 per cent of what we have in Nigeria they will thank God, but they still worship God with all their heart.”
