As part of the bail conditions, magistrate Desmond Nair also said Pistorius “shall refrain from using any prohibited substance and or alcohol.”

The family of murder-accused Oscar Pistorius expressed their relief at the South African sprinter being granted bail Friday, saying “the truth will prevail.”

“We are relieved by the fact that Oscar got bail today, but at the same time, we are in mourning for Reeva Steenkampf and her family,” said uncle and family spokesman Arnold Pistorius.
