ARSENAL SET FOR PRE-SEASON GAME IN NIGERIA







Emirates, who have been an Official Club Partner to Arsenal since 2004 are to be the title partner 


of the Gunners’ summer overseas tour comprising visits to Malaysia, China and Hong Kong in 


July, and Nigeria in early August - collectively to be referred to as: ‘Arsenal 2012 Tour, Presented 


by Emirates’


Here is some good news for teeming Nigerian Arsenal fans. Come August 5, prominent English club, Arsenal would for the first time play their pre-season game at the 60, 000 capacity National stadium, Abuja. 

Though their opponent is yet to be confirmed but there are speculations that they could face a Nigerian Premier League club. 

It is no gainsay that Nigeria is one of the club's biggest fan bases and thus the club is visiting as a result of the fantastic support which exists for the team, not only in Nigeria, but across the entire continent. 
  

Speculations has been going on about the identity of the opponents with many Nigeria Premier League clubs claiming the right to play against the English team.
