2015 Grammys red carpet pictures


The red carpet for the Grammy Awards in LA started on a dark note on Sunday evening.

She made a statement: Beyonce chose to show off her cleavage in a plunging black dress that looked like it was borrowed from Jennifer Lopez's closet. The wife of rapper Jay Z had a long train on her dress and there was also an attached extension
Her moment to shine: The Texas girl turned New Yorker turned - perhaps, according to TMZ - Los Angeles resident also appeared to wear almost no jewelry exception a pair of emerald drop earrings
And the crowd went wild: The mother to Blue Ivy had three female attendants look on and two shutterbugs next to her as others looked on
Like a diamond: Katy Perry - who is very hot off her impressive Super Bowl performance in Arizona a week ago - arrived separately from her on-again beau John Mayer. By her side was her publicist Ruth Bernstein (left)
Diva, meet diva: Perry posed with Nicki Minaj, who grabbed attention with her plunging black gown that had crystal fringe on the bottom
Not hiding anything: Minaj didn't leave much to the imagination with her getup. The 32-year-old Anaconda singer showed off her assets in a skintight gown that had a plunging neckline with a halter style top
Sterling silver and gorgeous gold: Kim Kardashian oozed sparkle as she wore what looked to be a silver and gold robe. The outfit was attached only in the waist area and looked like it could easily slide off; by her side was husband Kanye West
Get a room!: The couple that wed almost a year ago couldn't resist a PDA; here the Stronger singer is seen grabbing his wife's derriere
One last look for the reality maven: Kim shot a sexy eye over her shoulder while her rapper spouse stood patiently in his pirate boots
She batted this look out of the park: Lady Gaga looked like a modern-day Marilyn Monroe in her very glamorous and slinky look. The Poker Face singer wore a silver gown with a plunging neckline
Such close friends: The 28-year-old Bad Romance crooner brought as her date her collaborator Tony Bennett who she planted a kiss on
A whole new red carpet look for 2015: Rita Ora was almost unrecognizable with her platinum blonde short haircut
Two blondes: The Don't Speak hit maker posed with singing legend Annie Lennox, who looked stylish in a swishy floor-length dress
Strike a pose: The No Doubt singer came early when the shutterbugs were on full alert; the blonde looked thrilled with the attention
Not completely shocking: Miley Cyrus was flashing the flesh in her gown. The Bangerz hit maker wore a black dress with several cut outs - some on the hips, some on the legs
Longtime pals: Cyrus put her arm around Katy before the show started. The two both had massive hits in 2014
This blonde sure likes to show off: Her back was on display too as there was nothing but a few strings holding her dress together there
We just can't shake off this incredible look: Taylor Swift was one of the few Grammy guests to wear a bright color
Wow, the back is nice too: The Red singer made a dashing and grande exit off the red carpet when she showed off the backside of her gown
Yes, it's big: Rihanna, who arrived just before the show started, made an interesting entrance in a massive pink gown
Think pink: The Barbados beauty - who wore diamond earrings - struggled to walk in the designer number which had two tiers and looked like a Scarlett O'Hara gown on steroids
But, oddly, no one was looking: The ex-girlfriend of Chris Brown did not have anyone notice her as she posed on the carpet, even though she looked like absolutely no one else at the music event

Another lady in pink: Katharine McPhee wore pale pink with silver bondage style clasps in the front. The designer was Emilio Pucci and the shoes were Giuseppi Zanotti
And there was a little white too: Ariana Grande was a breath of fresh air in her white and silver Versace gown as she posed with boyfriend Big Sean, who had on Saint Laurent
Standing tall: The 21-year-old singer, who is best known for Bang Bang, is set to perform at the Grammys
Double the trouble on the carpet: Grande hammed it up with artist Jhene Aiko, who wore a feminine soft rose strapless gown
Steaming up the carpet: Big Sean, who wore diamond rings as well as a large yellow pinkie bauble couldn't keep his hands off his girl

Country strong indeed: Miranda Lambert played it safe in a sexy black dress that didn't show too much skin but hugged all her curves. Hot pink straps added an eighties punk vibe that made her look youthful

All About The Glam: Meghan Trainor also chose black. She went with lace over a nude sheer net in an off-the-shoulder gown
White hot for Grammy night: Chrissy Teigen, who came with husband John Legend, also chose white. The model's form-fitting dress had cut outs down the sides that showed off not just leg but also under boob
She loves to take risks: Charli XCX surprised fans when she wore a satin white suit By Moschino with a pink bow tie and a fur stole

Oh Madge!: The 56-year-old mother of four stunned in this number that showed off her decolletage
She sure raised a lot of eyebrows: The ex-wife of Sean Penn and Guy Ritchie shocked everyone on the carpet with her wild look; the Like A Virgin legend said she would change into another Givenchy outfit for her performance at the show - with her was Nas (left) and Diplo (right)

I G G Y !: Iggy Azalea stood out for her bright blue outfit. The dress had cut outs on the shoulders and below her breasts
How does she do it?: The 77-year-old Jane Fonda showed off a fit figure in a green pantsuit with a gold necklace; with her was her boyfriend, producer Richard Perry
Without Mandy Moore: Rocker Ryan Adams showed up at the Grammys - it is the first time he has hit an event since news broke he split from the Rapunzel star; here he is posing with writer Jenny Lewis
No dress?: Melissa Rivers, who is a producer on E!'s Fashion Police, chose a black pantsuit with rhinestones; also there was Haim, dressed in black and white as well. They showed up together and will soon tour with Taylor Swift

...And then she slipped into some slacks: After her dress, the 40-year-old host put on a more masculine look
Now that is a train: Kaya Jones arrived with a very long dress in satin and sequin that went well with her shocking hot pink hair
Pretty in sheer: Kat Graham showed off her under clothes in this see-through wonder that had white teardrops on top and white pumps
