These 3 Boys Were Caught Trying To Escape From Nigeria At Lagos Airport

The Airport Command of the Nigeria Police Force has arrested three teenagers for allegedly attempting to illegally board some international flights in Lagos.

Commissioner of Police for the command, Salahu Waheed, said the suspects, Lateef Popoola, 13; Amadi Joshua, 14; and Ukpabio Onyedikachi, 14, were arrested at different times at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja.
Waheed, while handing over the suspects to their mothers, said there was a need for their respective state governments to rehabilitate them like the Edo State Government did with teenage stowaway, Daniel Ihekina, who was arrested on August 24, 2013 after sneaking into the tyre compartment of a Lagos-bound Arik plane. He said:

“These boys were found at different times at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos. Their aim was to get into any plane and travel out of Nigeria. I decided to hand them over to their parents so they will be well taken care of and stop dwelling on the fantasy that you can just come into the airport, enter a plane and travel.
Their state governments should try to rehabilitate them just like Edo State did for the stowaway in Benin.
Lateef Popoola is from Ogun State; Amadi Joshua is from Ebonyi while Ukpabio Onyedikachi is from Abia State.“The airport is not a place that you can just come into and travel. There are formalities. We don’t want to see these children here again.”

The teenagers, who spoke to PUNCH Metro, said they had been nursing the idea of travelling abroad, adding that they were not ready to execute their plans yet.
Lateef said he went to the tarmac to observe how aeroplanes take off and land.
He said he was able to gain access to the runaway by sneaking into an airport apron bus, but was arrested shortly after alighting. He said:

“I am not in school, I dropped out in Primary three. I was arrested last week Wednesday. I actually wanted to travel but I have yet to decided where I will go. So, I just went to the tarmac to see the aeroplanes.”

Lateef’s grandmother, Adunni, said she had no idea that her grandson was nursing the idea of travelling out of the country. She said she had been responsible for his upkeep  since his mother abandoned him at infancy.

“I did not know that he wanted to travel. I just did not  see him last week and I started looking for him all over the place. It was on Saturday that I finally found out that he had been arrested,” she said.

Onyedikachi and Joshua were said to have been arrested after asking some security agents where Malaysia flights were boarding. After being questioned, the boys, who were both in SS1, said they had no travel documents and were immediately arrested.

Police said Onyedikachi’s brother was in Malaysia and it was possible that the teenager wanted to travel out to see his brother. Onyedikachi, however said,

“We were at the departure area of the airport. We did not attempt to travel out. We were just loitering and wanted to see the aeroplanes. We did not want to travel out on that day.”

Onyedikachi’s mother berated her son for his escapade. She said she had warned him and Joshua to be well behaved at all times. She said:

“I had no knowledge of what they did. Onyedikachi is well taken care of and is not suffering. I don’t know what pushed him to do this.”

28yrs old Man Defiles 5years old Girl In Oyo State, Gives Her N5 As Reward!

A 28-year-old okada rider, Mr Tope Daisi, currently being held by the police in Oyo State over the alleged defilement of a five-year-old girl, was said to have offered the girl N5 which the girl used to buy sweet after the act!

This was revealed to Crime Reports during an interview with the victim, Sekinat (not real names) after the suspect was arrested by detectives from Eleyele police station.
It was learnt that though the act was committed on Tuesday, August 27, Seki’s grandmother, Madam Khadijat Kolapo went to the police station on Wednesday, August 28 and narrated how her neighbour, Daisi, lured her granddaughter to his room when she went out and left the girl at home.

The elderly woman further alleged that the man stripped the girl of her cloth and defiled her, after which he gave her N5 and warned her to keep sealed lips.
However, the little girl could not keep the experience and the money she earned from her seven-year-old cousin, Afusat (not real name), as she told her that Brother Tope did ashewo  (prostituted with) to her.

Immediately their grandmother returned home, Afusat told her what happened and said that they had already used the money to buy sweet.

The Divisional Police officer in charge of the station, Olawole Ayoola, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, reportedly ordered the suspect’s arrest but when interviewed, he denied the allegation, though he could not explain why he was the one pointed at among other men in the neighbourhood.

When the girl was taken to a hospital for medical examination, Crime Reports learnt that the report indicated bruises in the vaginal area though the hymen was still intact.

Narrating her experience to Crime Reports in her childish voice, Sekinat said:

“I was outside and he (Daisi) came to take from our house to his room. He spread a mat on the floor, removed my pants and his trousers. He lay on me, held the thing that is used to urinate and put it in my private part. After he finished, he warned me not to tell anybody. He then gave me N5 and I used it to buy sweet.”

In an interview, the Ijebu-Ode-born suspect who disclosed that he was also a footballer, said he was surprised that the girl pointed at him.
According to him:
On the fateful day, I was at Eleyele area of the city where I normally go around 5a.m. to issue tickets to okada riders. My football club also had a match at Olubadan Stadium by 2pm. We were told to report by 1.30p.m. So, at noon, I went home on my bike to prepare. As I was coming, I saw some children playing with sand and one of them ran across, in front of the bike. I stopped and beat her but some bystanders said I should thank God that I didn’t hit the girl. I went home to have a shower and left for the stadium. In the evening, I went back to okada park and returned home around 9pm.
I was surprised when the girl’s grandmother came to me on Wednesday, August 28 and held on to my shirt, saying that her granddaughter informed her that I took her in, removed her pants and put my organ in her private parts. I told her it was not true but she did not listen.”

The grandmother told Crime Reports she took over the care of the little girl because her mother became bedridden as a result of stroke she suffered.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Olabisi Okuwobi-Ilobanafor, confirmed the story to Crime Reports, stating that the suspect had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Iyaganku, for further investigation.

Book Reveals How Gaddafi Kidnapped & Sexually Abused Schoolgirls He Kept Locked In Basement

According to a book by journalist Annick Cojean titled Gaddafi's Harem: The Story Of A Young Woman And The Abuses Of Power In Libya,  late dictator, Colonel Gaddafi while he was alive, ordered the kidnap of schoolgirls who he kept as sex slaves in his compound.a

Ms Cojean investigated Gaddafi's abuses of power after meeting Soraya (her name has been changed), who Gaddafi kidnapped when she was 15 and held for five years as a sex slave.
Sonaya says she was violently raped, beaten and abused on an almost daily basis and saw similar abuse of other girls and boys.

Telling her story, Soraya said while at school in the coastal town of Sirte, she had been given the 'honour' of presenting a bouquet of flowers to Gaddafi during a visit in 2004.
After presenting the flowers, Gaddafi, who had eight children, patted her head. She said this was a symbol to his aids that he wanted her.

The following day she was summoned to his palatial six-mile long compound near Tripoli, Bab al-Azizia, where she was stripped, shaved and taken to Gaddafi.
She said he was lying naked on the bed and tried to rape her.
When she fought him off, Soraya was taken away by head of the harem Mabrouka for 'lessons'.

She is quoted in the book as saying: 'He grabbed my hand and forced me to sit next to him on the bed. I didn't dare look at him.
'He said, "Don't be afraid. I'm your papa. That's what you call me, isn't it? But I'm also your brother and your lover. I'm going to be all that for you. Because you are going to stay and live with me forever."'
The schoolgirl was given porn to watch and was made to watch Gaddafi have sex with others so she could 'learn'.

Boys and his male guards were also raped by the tyrant, according to the book.
Soraya was eventually allowed home in 2009 but she says she is a shame to her family because she had sex outside marriage.
She said she only felt free from Gaddafi after his death in 2011 at the end of the civil war.

The book also features interviews with a woman who ferried the girls to Gaddafi's compound and other victims.
Ms Cojean also alleges Gaddafi, who was married to Safia Farkash, pursued students and the wives of foreign dignitaries.

Ms Cojean was quoted in the New York Daily News as writing: 'It was not so much about seducing a woman as, through her, humiliating the man who is supposed to be responsible for her.'
Female visitors were routinely subjected to blood tests by Gaddafi's nurses to make sure they were disease free in case he wanted to have sex with them.

Marie Colvin, the Sunday Times journalist killed in Syria in 2012, reported that a nurse had approached her with a needle when she was in Tripoli to interview Gaddafi. She declined to give blood.

Lagos rescues 25 children from trafficker

Rescued children
Lagos State Government has rescued 25 children from an alleged child trafficker in the Egbeda area of the state.

It was learnt that the suspected trafficker, Mrs. Rosemary Nwachukwu, was also arrested and had been handed over to the Alausa Police Division, while the children were currently in government’s custody.

The government accused Nwachukwu of operating an illegal orphanage named, Saint Stephen Charity Foundation, on Abiodun Adebanbo Street, Egbeda.

It was gathered that officials from the Office of Youth and Social Department, led by the Director, Child Development, Mrs. Alaba Fadairo, in conjunction with personnel from the Office of Public Defender and policemen, stormed the orphanage on Saturday.

The government said findings showed that the suspect was using the orphanage as a front for another illegal business.

The Director, OPD, Mrs. Omotola Rotimi, said of the children, whose ages ranged from three months to 12 years, were victims of human trafficking.

Rotimi said, “It was discovered upon investigation that Nwachukwu trafficked 27 children and kept them in a room. We were able to rescue three infants of ages three to six months and 22 other children. Efforts are still on to locate the remaining two.”

The OPD director added that the suspect used the victims for financial gains by putting them up for adoption. She said the suspect would be charged to court after investigations had been concluded.

However, Fadairo, said, “Investigation also shows that there are no records of each child and no evidence of how the children got to her orphanage. No police or security report.”

Fadairo urged members of the public to be vigilant and report suspicious orphanages to the appropriate authorities.  She said some of the orphanages might be  fronts for human trafficking.

She said, “People and organisations that operated unapproved orphanages will be arrested and prosecuted according to the law.”

But Nwachukwu said she had been running the orphanage for 18 years, adding that it was purely on charity basis, and without financial gain.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, said Nwachukwu was in police custody and would be charged to court on Friday (today).

She said, “We found out that she registered as a charity and thus not qualified to run an orphanage. She will be taken to court on Friday (today).”
